Mary Lee (Ross) Shifflett,
September 28, 2011 ~ May 18, 1925

Mary Lee (Ross) Shifflett, 86, widow of Glenn Arion Shifflett of 119 Westgate Road, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Augusta Health, Fishersville.

She was born May 18, 1925 in Albemarle County, a daughter of the late Melvin and Lena Ross.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Shifflett was employed by Genesco.

She was a member of Staunton Mennonite Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Glenda Shifflett and Judy Craig.

Family members include a daughter, Sandy Shifflett, with whom she made her home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glenn, Jr., and Melinda Shifflett, of Craigsville and Bennie Shifflett of Harrisonburg; ten grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Kevin Gasser and Jim Delp. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were her grandchildren.

The family will received friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
