In Memory of Ira "Bruce" Stark

Ira Bruce Stark, 76, of 1070 Virginia Ave., died Tuesday March 12, 2013, in his home.
Born April 27, 1936, in Annville, Pa., he was the son of Bruce Gibble Stark and Lillian (Hartman) Stark.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of Goshen Baptist Church. He was a former member of Staunton Mennonite Church. A very talented musician, he enjoyed playing Gospel and Bluegrass music with many people over the years. His greatest passion was serving the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ira Lee Stark.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Ella (Jack) Stark; also surviving are a son, Alan Stark of Ferrum; a special daughter and the apple of his eye, Vicki Burkett of Chandler, Ariz.; three sisters, Donna Huffman, Shirley Moore and Connie Hess, all of Pa.; four grandchildren, Brenda Berkheiser, Karen Wood, Emiley Stark and Hunter Stark; five great-grandchildren, Trent and Veronica Berkheiser and Karia, Keaton and Karson Wood; five stepchildren, Kim Craft, Amanda Lucas, Georgia Bennett, Ernest Gregory and Andy Gregory; five stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many close friends and fellow musicians and his dog and faithful companion, Lattie.

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2013, in Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastors Scott Reese and Tyler Clem. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Chuck Monroe, Blaine Lawhorn, Wayne Kirby, Bill Connelly, Jack Brown, Bruce Nedrow and Clinton Jack. Honorary pallbearers will be friends from Goshen Baptist Church.

The family  receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
