Matthew 28:19-20 - New International Version (NIV)

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Goodness and mercy

Praising/Adoring

Leader: Lord, you are our God. We exalt you.
People: Your goodness and mercy follow us
each and every day of our lives,
All: and we bring our thanks to you with grateful hearts.
Leader: You prepare a table before us
in the presence of enemies.
Our cups overflow with your loving kindness.
People: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us always

Offering

Gracious God, we return to you some of that with which
you have blessed us.
Use it to prepare that grand wedding feast for your Son, Jesus.
We will invite everyone we find, both good and bad,
so that your wedding hall is filled with guests
and the dancing can begin! Amen.

Affirming Faith

We look forward in faith to the fulfillment of Isaiah’s vision,
that on God’s mountain the Lord will prepare for all people
a rich and flavorful feast, a feast of choice wines.
At that time, he will swallow up death forever,
wipe the tears from every face,
and lift the shroud that covers the nations in darkness.
On that day we will all exclaim, “Look! This is our God
for whom we have been waiting so long!”
And joy and gladness will resound around the globe!
Hallelujah!
