Leader: Wait patiently for the Lord, for God hears our cries.
People: God draws us from the pit,
and sets our feet upon a rock.
Leader: God places a new song in our heart.
People: Many will hear and see and place their trust in God.
Leader: Happy are those who put their trust in the Lord,
People: God’s wonderful deeds
are more than can be counted.

Offering

With thanksgiving we have gathered here today, and with
thanksgiving we offer you our gifts. With joy we acknowledge
that you are our deliverer and there is nothing we lack if we
have you. Teach us how to use the gifts you have placed into
our care for the good of not just ourselves, but for the good of
all. With faith we share with others because in faith, we believe
you will continue to meet our needs. Bless these gifts and those
who will benefit from them. Amen.

Scripture Reading: John 1:29-42
Sermon: “The Place God Abides”

Sending

As you go from this place, declare to all in word and
deed that the Lamb of God who lived and died and rose
from the grave continues to seek those in need of comfort
and rest. Be ambassadors of this good news and stewards of
God’s message. Continue the work that Jesus began even until
he comes again to reclaim his own unto himself. Go in peace.
